How do I add content to my classes?

You decide which themes and activities each of your classes can see. When you add content to a class, that content appears in your students’ library, so they can open it on their own.

There are two ways to do it. Which one you pick depends on how many classes you are working with.

Use this option when you are working with a single class, or when a theme is already added to a class and you only want to change which activities your students see.

You start from the class itself: go to ‘Classes’, open the class, and click ‘Content Management’.

From there you can add a new theme to that class, or click ‘Edit activities’ on a theme that is already there.

Use this option when you want to give the same theme to more than one class. Instead of repeating the same steps in every class, you do it once.

You start from the theme: go to ‘Library’, open the theme you want, and click ‘Add Content’. Then you choose the classes and pick the activities for each one.

For the full steps, read How do I add content to several classes at once?

Both options add the same content, so you can use whichever fits what you are doing:

  • Working with one class, or changing the activities of a theme you already added: start from the class.
  • Giving the same theme to two or more classes: start from the Library.

Tip: Adding content is not the same as assigning a task. Adding content makes it available in your students’ library so they can explore it freely. A task is work you ask them to complete, and it has its own progress tracking.
